Sodium Sulphate Anhydrous 99% by product use In Textile Dyeing :

anhydrous sodium sulfate, Na₂SO₄ is a commonly used additive in the textile printing and dyeing industry, and its main functions involve multiple links such as dyeing, color fixation and post-treatment. The following are its core functions and precautions:

Main function

Dye accelerator (Accelerates dyeing)

Direct dyes and sulfur dyes: Mirabilite serves as an electrolyte. Through charge neutralization, it compresses the double electric layer of dye particles, reduces the repulsive force between the dye and the fiber, accelerates the adsorption and fixation of the dye, and improves the dyeing efficiency.

Reactive dyes: In the dyeing of cellulose fibers such as cotton and linen, they work in synergy with soda ash to promote the covalent bond combination between dyes and fibers.

Dye retarder (controlling the dyeing rate)

In some dyes (such as acid dyes for dyeing protein fibers), high-concentration mirabilite can slow down the dye loading speed, prevent color streaks and improve the level dyeing property by adjusting the ionic strength of the dyeing solution.

Adjust the pH value of the dyeing solution

In reactive dye dyeing, it is used in combination with soda ash to maintain an alkaline environment and enhance the reactivity between the dye and the fiber.

Color fixation assistance

By adsorbing the anions of dyes, the solubility of dyes in water is reduced, indirectly increasing the fixation rate and lowering the floating color.

Moisture absorption and anti-brittle damage

It is used as a desiccant in the printing paste to maintain the fluidity of the color paste. In the post-dyeing treatment, prevent the fibers from becoming brittle due to excessive electrolytes
